This building at the heart of the beautiful village of Mortehoe was the vicarage for a few centuries

before becoming a pub-hotel in 1820, and it has been sheltering and refreshing visitors just about every day

    since then.

We’re delighted to continue that tradition of good food, drink and hospitality and everyone here takes a lot of pride in what we do.

As well as ensuring the food that we serve tastes good it’s really important to us to know that it has been ethically and humanely produced, so since March 2012 we have only used British meat and free-range eggs so we can be sure of traceability and high standards of animal welfare.

We are open all year round, and take bookings throughout the year -

please call in, or phone us on 01271 870411 to reserve your table.

  • Our Food Menu

We serve lunches and evening meals all year round, with a variety of seasonal dishes alongside the traditional Pub favorites.

As well as our standard menu we always have daily specials, including a selection of fresh fish, much of it locally caught, and our homemade puddings.

On Sunday Lunchtimes we serve a traditional Roast Dinner with all the trimmings and a selection of meals from our bar menu too.

Sunday Lunches are always especially busy so it’s always worth booking!

  • Drinks

The Bar is open every day from 11am for fresh ground coffee, a selection of excellent wines and local real ales and ciders. Choose from our best-selling St Austell Proper Job or a selection of guest ales from West Country breweries.
